Wave Three supports a wide range of both standard and proprietary media types to deliver the highest quality communication. The Session™ all software architecture allows for the easy addition of new media types as customer requirements emerge and as technology advances.

Audio CODECS
Wave Three currently supports standards based G .711, G .722, G .723 and G SM audio CODECS at a range of sampling rates.

Video CODECS
The single most important element in delivering extremely high quality video in software, over any network, lies in the selection of a CODEC. Wave Three utilizes a Wavelet Transform CODEC to deliver very high quality live two-way video over the Internet. The Wavelet offers a scalable video solution with features for the control of resolution, frame rate, bit depth, subjective quality, bandwidth and the option to deliver lossy or lossless compression.

Wave Three has also integrated support for legacy H.261 and H.263 CODECs into the Session™ product. Future development will include support for H.264.
